It is very difficult to publish objective facts. Sometimes publishers (TV, newspapers, radio, etc.) put their subjective perspective on information. The same information published in different sources sounds completely opposite.
Information is often shared too quickly. Today’s social media are dominated by click and share culture. It is more and more challenging to ensure its validity and reliability.

Some information in social media are not true, we cannot rely on everything we find on the Internet.
If the name or source is familiar, you may tend to believe the information.
Intuition can help you discern reliable information.
Cross-checking to see if the information has been deemed accurate by others determines the information is true.

The closer you are to the source of the information, the more reliable the information is. Secondary sources can be accurate and reliable, but be cognizant of how far the content strays from the primary source so you can make the appropriate judgement.
